Knowledge Blocks are self-contained units of structured information that can be easily understood and used by practitioners and researchers, and flexibly combined into larger units.

Knowledge Blocks are interconnected through a common BIM Ontology and a semantic web engine. Formulated as simple/small knowledge structures, they collectively form a modular language for defining project requirements (input), measuring project deliverables (output) and clarifying project processes.
