Macro Adoption - Platform Instructions

For Study Coordinators

The Macro Adoption Study team has arranged a series of Assessment Campaigns on the assessor.io platform covering all participating regions. This page provides the detailed instructions for Study Coordinators (participants don't require any specialised instructions). For more information about the Study Coordinator’s role, or the different Study Protocols, please refer to this page.

The below instructions only apply to Study Coordinators who (a) have completed the Study Coordinators' Expression of Interest form, (b) where accepted into their respective SC roles, and (c) have attended the Initiation Meeting with one member of the Project Team.

Every Study Coordinator (SC) candidate needs to first complete their respective study as a regular participant before being assigned their online role. This allows the candidate to experience all the questions and understand the study flow before inviting others to join the campaign. To join as a participant, a Macro Adoption team member will either (a) email the SC the necessary log in instructions, (b) received a direct invitation from the assessor.io platform when the Expression of Interest has been accepted, or (c) by receiving a link to a Public Campaign where they can join the campaign and complete the study.

After completing the the survey as a Participant [Step 1], the candidate will receive a new email invitation with a newly Assigned Role (Study Coordinator).

Once received [Image 1], please click the “Accept Invitation” button/link and you will be then directed to the platform.

Note: Once accepted, the candidate's permissions will be upgraded to campaign admin which provides additional views, permissions, and functionalities.

Upon reaching the assessor.io platform, the user needs to Sign In [existing users] or Sign Up [new users - Image 2]. Signing up includes entering contact information, and then checking for the verification message delivered to your Inbox. Once the verification is complete, please proceed to Step 3]

After accepting the invitation, you will be automatically added to the BIMe Initiative account [Image 4] as a Study Coordinator for your Study/Region. Study Coordinators (SC)s have a number of account permissions specific to their role. These include:

Access to the Campaign Dashboard where they can monitor all main events related to their campaign [number of participants, number of assessment completions, event logs, and other useful information].
See a List of Campaign Participants and their progress in completing the assessments.
Send and retract Campaign Invitations to potential participants.
Receive Contact Messages from participants [Note: messages are sent to the SC’s registered email address].
Review participant input individually (as a read-only survey), as a report, in a table format and - where and if necessary - verify or modify this input.
Download the Campaign Data in a variety of formats [Note: download permissions may be withheld until campaign closure].

Based on these permissions, and as outlined in the Study Protocol, SCs can then proceed to invite potential participants. To send invitations to participants, go to Campaign > Participants > User Invitations and click the "+" icon in the top-right corner [Images 5 and 6]:

An invitation will then be sent to the email specified. The user will then need to Accept your invitation and complete their Sign Up/ Sign In process.

Invited participants will receive an email invitation [Image 6] and - upon acceptance - they will be prompted to Sign Up and confirm their email.

After confirming their email, users will be able to join the campaign [sample participant view in Images 8 and 9] they’ve been invited to and then complete the respective assessment.
