Digital standards provide a common language that can be translated to technical specifications enabling clients, designers, contractors, and facilities managers, irrespective of their preferred tools, to communicate efficiently and reduce cost, rework, and disputes. This inventory was developed as a tool for identifying relevant standards and, in particular, their relevance to Build Digital. Each document found in this research was recorded, reviewed, and graded based on the scoring system created for this report and tool. This tool is intended to be flexible should new standards be published, or a change is required to an existing standard.

Information Management Plan – Appointing Party is a support in a spreadsheet format that contains a number of client templates that ISO 19650 recommend the Employer/Client/Sanctioning authority should consider when appointing a delivery team to a delivery project for an Asset.

To inform the Digital Leadership and Cultural Change pillar of Build Digital, a global study of international best practice in digital adoption within the built environment sector was undertaken and presented here. The Material Passport Industry Brief Report aims to inform stakeholders in the Irish construction sector of the transformative impact of Material Passports (MPs) as solutions to implement Circular Economy principles in the Built Environment. The report is based on a wider doctoral research programme that aims to identify and address challenges in existing MP frameworks. The gap analysis emphasised that there is an urgent need for real-time updates, standardisation, policy frameworks, data quality control, stakeholder education, and behavioural shift.
